Working as a statewide system, all nine Iowa AEAs have partnered to provide the following resources available to every school in Iowa.

AEA PD Online is your source for online professional development. Be it our online courses featuring license renewal credit or graduate credit from Drake, Morningside or Viterbo, or our online self-paced trainings that help educators and schools meet mandates, AEA PD Online brings it to you!
AEA Purchasing is an independent, tax-exempt, nonprofit organization supporting the mission of Iowa’s AEAs. It combines the purchasing power of Iowa schools to offer aggressive pricing on materials, goods and services.

Iowa AEA Online is a virtual library that provides no-cost access to high-quality, web-based resources for accredited public and non-public PreK-12 schools.

About AEAs
Iowa Area Education Agencies (AEAs) were created in 1974 by the Iowa legislature to ensure equal educational opportunities for all children from birth through age 21. As regional service agencies, AEAs provide special education and school improvement services for students, families, teachers, administrators, and their communities.
