Virtual Tutoring Options

Iowa’s AEAs have researched four companies that offer virtual tutoring for K-12 students, as a number of school districts have requested a virtual option for their students to receive assistance with academic work. Virtual tutoring takes place online where students work one-on-one with another person on a specific subject(s).

All four companies are unique in their own way and offer many opportunities for students to receive assistance with academic work. The companies have been considered valuable resources and were examined using criteria created by Iowa’s AEAs. The AEA Criteria Checklists can be used when searching for a virtual tutoring company to fit the needs of your students.

If your district/school is interested in statewide pricing information, contact Tracie Marshall, Iowa’s AEAs Media/Technology Project & Purchasing Coordinator.
